Visiting Israel
| The two-and-a-half-week intensive Israel Mission follows the Fellowship’s first semester. The fully subsidized Mission focuses on aspects of historical and contemporary Israel, highlighting its religious, cultural, and political life. |
 |
This encounter with Israeli society also encourages an exploration of one’s personal connection to Judaism’s past, present, and future. To illustrate the complexities of Israel, the Fellows meet with individuals representing different political and ideological views.
The touring component provides an understanding of the majesty of Jewish heritage, beginning in Biblical times and leading to the present. The Mission will also include recreational activities and free time.
On our Israel Mission, safety is our first priority. We will constantly be monitoring the security situation and making any and all changes in the itinerary accordingly. We will have a security officer with us at all times, and will travel by private transportation.
Mission highlights include:
- Private sessions with university professors and political analysts
- Meeting with a Supreme Court Justice in private chambers
- Private concert with local musicians
- Personalized Judaic workshops
- Visit and study in a wide spectrum of educational institutions
- Shabbat celebrations
- Climbing Massada and swimming in the Dead Sea
- Meetings with individuals representing a wide range of political perspectives.
- Interview/Shadow professionals in your field of interest
