About Us
We invite you to apply for the ATID Campus Fellowship, an intensive yearlong program of personal development and Jewish exploration that focuses on Jewish literacy and commitment to K'lal Yisroel, the Jewish people. The program includes peer learning, experiential and team-building activities, and an Israel Mission.
Challenge
During your year as an ATID Campus Fellow, you will be challenged by questions such as:
- How are Jewish tradition and values relevant to my personal life choices and goals?
- What role do I/might I play in the unfolding drama of Jewish destiny?
- What are the obstacles that have kept me from active participation in the Jewish community?
Identity
You may not have formally explored your Jewish identity until now; you may never have learned Hebrew; perhaps you only attended Sunday school or received Bar/Bat Mitzvah training; Jewish tradition may seem obscure and its prayers inaccessible. Israel's culture and history may be remote and distant, and its current events confusing. If you can identify with any of these, and you have the self-motivation, discipline and openness to grow, consider becoming an ATID Campus Fellow.
Accomplishment
Your experience, shared with a select group of highly motivated students like yourself, will add new dimensions to your life. The ATID Campus Fellowship will provide you with a new familiarity with Jewish history, culture, community and language that will strengthen your sense of self (see Curriculum). Your access to a network of mentors and peers in a range of venues will enhance your career potential, as you begin the path towards becoming a serious and informed active participant in Jewish life - a leader for your generation. The ATID Campus Fellowship will enable you to accomplish these objectives.
Opportunity
You will have the opportunity to study in a new community with other students who are trying to figure out what being Jewish means to them. As a participant in a fellowship program, you also will be enhancing your academic resume.
